Meet Jeanine

Jeanine Brawn, CPDT-KA, PT

Jeanine Brawn has been training dogs since 1974, after she started studying dog training in a formal setting. Before that she was training her own dogs while doing informal learning.
She started out teaching her own, then her neighbor's, family's & friend's dogs. From there she started assisting in group classes & then teaching them, as well as continuing with the private lessons, while all along the way continuing her formal studies. These studies are on-going.... learning never stops.
She did part-time Private Dog Training from 1974-1998 and part time Group Classes from 1994-1998... at which point she started teaching both full time.
She enjoys teaching people how to understand, bond, communicate with & train their own dogs by teaching English as a second language through positive methods.
She was one of the founders of Mutt Management... a successful & the first, Doggie Daycare & Training Center in Sarasota Fl. She co-owned & operated it from 1997-2002.

Meet Jeanine's dogs:

Tango, our 4 year old Labradoodle (an Assistance Service Dog)

Jeanine Jeanine & Fidget (cousin to Velcro & Resin), our 9 year old Vizsla (our family pet)

Jeanine & Resin, our Vizsla, at an APDT Conference. After 4 years as an Assistance Service Dog, and 2 years in retirement, Resin was lost & has been missing since 2-08.

News flash! Resin was recovered 17 months after his disapperance (thanks to his microchip & Sarasota's Animal Services).

He has since been adopted out to the loving family that had him for those 17 months.

Update! A few months later when they moved he came back to us forever. He is now 9 years old.

Jeanine & Dante (a Labradoodle) at a Rally Seminar. He is now working as a Service Dog in California.

Jeanine & Zendor, our Newfoundland lived to be 10 1/2. He passed away 6 months after this photo was taken in 2002 after a wonderful life!

Jazzy, our Austrailian Shepard passed away in 2007 at 13 1/2.

Jeanine & Sydney, a Vizsla SEGD puppy we raised that went on to lead a wonderful woman until Sydney retired. He passed away 2009.

Velcro (Resin's brother & Fidget's cousin), a Vizsla that was a wonderful Assistance Service Dog for Narcolepsy response & Asthma alert/response. He passed away at 8 years old in 11/2008.
